SEN Teacher
Are you a qualified SEN Teacher or experienced Cover Supervisor looking for a rewarding opportunity in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Behavioural School? We are seeking dedicated professionals with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) certification to support and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver your planned lessons and provide dynamic, engaging learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive behaviour management strategies.
- Adapt teaching methods to support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex needs.
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support student progress.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to create tailored learning plans.
Requirements
- QTS or HLTA certification is essential.
- Experience in teaching, covering lessons in a SEN or PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN and SEMH strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to classroom management.
