Science Teacher – KS3 & KS4

The school is a secondary school based in Croydon, they are seeking a dedicated Science teacher to start ASAP or in January 25. They are based in a local areas close to public transport links, the school Teaches up to KS4 and incorporates sports into the curriculum to help with theory, behaviour Management and understanding of environments.

They look for candidates to work with small groups with the students, you must be enthusiastic and have the knowledge or want to learn and trained to work with SEND.

The role:

  • Plan, deliver and assess outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable SEMH young people to learn.
  • Be a class tutor, ensuring pastoral needs are met and establishing excellent relationships with parents and carers.
  • Engage and motivate pupils
  • Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, parents, and other professionals
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom
  • Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school
  • Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activities
  • Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures, including engaging in annual safeguarding training, including induction training.

You must have:

  • Successful class teaching experience.
  • Experience of working with children with SEN or mainstream school experience.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • An excellent knowledge of the specialist curriculum area and how it may be effectively taught.
  • Degree in education
  • QTS or QTLS
