Empowering Learning is working with a SEND school in Wandsworth that requires cleaning staff to work on a part-time basis between the hours of 3.30pm-7pm Monday to Friday. The school supports children and young adults with high-functioning autism. They place a strong emphasis on social and emotional learning, which, together with holistic therapy, enables students to grow as people, as well as build confidence and resilience.
We are seeking an individual who can start as soon as possible and has experience in large-scale office or school cleaning.
Duties
- Cleaning across the school premises, performing routine tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and emptying bins in classrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Disinfecting frequently touched surfaces like door handles, tables, and chairs to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
- Monitoring cleaning materials and reordering as required
- Ensuring washrooms are kept clean and sanitary for daily use.
- Emptying and cleaning bins and managing other waste disposal.
- School cleaners ensure that facilities meet hygiene and safety standards, which is essential for child protection and regulatory compliance.
