Behaviour Buddy - SEN School Location: Rochdale Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm Pay Rate: £16.78 per hour Contract: Full-time We are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join a specialist SEN school in Rochdale, supporting children and young people with additional needs. The Role As a Behaviour Buddy, you will work closely with pupils and school staff to provide individualised support and encouragement throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils. Supporting children with behavioural, emotional and social needs. Helping pupils manage their emotions and develop positive coping strategies. Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils. Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and transitions. Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support strategies. Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for someone who is: Patient, calm and compassionate. Confident supporting children with additional needs. Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations. A strong communicator and team player. Reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding. Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people. Previous experience working within an SEN, education, care or behavioural support setting is desirable, although candidates with transferable experience will also be considered.
