Empowering Learning are currently recruiting an enthusiastic teacher of PE, to work in a secondary school located on the border of Oxfordshire and Berkshire - nearby to Reading. The successful candidate will have a desire to improve student standards and want to share their own creative ideas and experience. The role will commence as a long term supply arrangement and could last for 12 months - it will also involve planning of other lessons and subjects but resources are provided. You will be supervising the female changing rooms and the role focuses primarily on netball and hockey.

You must have at least 2 years teaching experience in PE, although ECTs are welcome to apply as long as QTS is attained.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain classroom experience and support the learning journey of students in art you will:

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting especially in Hockey or Netball
  • Who wants to help schools and students alike, to achieve their goals
  • Is confident in managing groups of students across various year groups and subjects.
  • Holds a degree or equivalent experience in a teaching setting.
  • Previous experience of teaching PE in a school setting.
  • Strong passion for the arts and inspiring students
  • Is highly organised, motivated and driven to succeed
  • Is a specialist in PE with the ability to teach all sports including netball, gymnastics, dance, football, fitness, rounders and athletics
  • Is a team member who will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the progress of students
  • Ideally has a proven track record of achieving outstanding results at GCSE sport
