Empowering Learning is supporting a private nursery in Ilkley Leeds. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive nursery team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate childcare professional who is committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children. The successful candidate will hold a relevant childcare qualification and have a genuine passion for supporting children to learn, develop, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing outstanding care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Planning and delivering engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress.
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Acting as a key person for a group of children.
- Promoting children’s wellbeing, safety, and individual needs.
- Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Supporting the nursery’s vision, values, and commitment to excellence.
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent recognised childcare qualification).
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Previous experience working in an early years setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
