We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join schools across Derbyshire, with day-to-day, part-time, and full-time opportunities available. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development in a busy school environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Supporting individual pupils or small groups with learning tasks
- Supervising children during classroom activities, breaks, and lunch
- Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a respectful, inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting children with additional learning needs or SEN, where appropriate
- Preparing classroom resources and supporting learning activities
- Assisting with the supervision of educational trips and events
- Maintaining safeguarding standards and reporting any concerns appropriately
Requirements
- Relevant, recent experience working in a school or childcare setting (essential)
- Must be 18+
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Calm, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting children's development
- DBS Enhanced clearance (or willingness to apply)
Location
Schools across Derbyshire, including Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent, and surrounding areas
Hours
Day-to-day supply, part-time, and full-time positions available - shifts may vary depending on school needs (typically 7:00am - 6:00pm)
