Empowering Learning are a market-leading education recruitment company. Are you a flexible and proactive Progress Tutor/SEND Tutor based in Pontefract and available to start a new role immediately? The role is part time / 2 days a week. Have you got previous experience working in SEND Provisions with Challenging Behaviours - ADHD, SEMH and Autism? Empowering Learning are working closely with a high-achieving SEN School in WF7 who are on the lookout for a part time dynamic and versatile Tutor to join the school on a temp to perm basis for the right candidate.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Flexible and versatile approach to work
  • To deliver pre-planned lessons to a high standard, ensuring students remain engaged in their lessons
  • Manage classroom behaviour and foster an inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Supporting students with their learning and addressing any questions or concerns
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience Tutoring in SEND Schools would be ideal, but not essential. Full training from the school is provided.
  • Educated to graduate level
  • Proactive and versatile individual
  • The ability to think outside-the-box, on-the-spot and use your initiative when needed
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Strong behavioural management skills
