Peripatetic Drum Teacher (Part-Time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Peripatetic Drum Teacher to support pupils at a secondary school in Rochdale. The role involves preparing students for GCSE Music performance assessments and developing their confidence and technical ability on the drum kit.

Details:

  • Hours: 3-4 hours per week (flexible across Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday – AM/PM)

  • Pay: Hourly rate, dependent on experience

  • Start: As soon as possible

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to read staff notation and drum tab

  • Understanding of AQA GCSE performance requirements

  • Experience in preparing pupils for music performance assessments

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and engage secondary-aged students

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a school setting

  • QTS in Music

  • Relevant music qualification(s)
