Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND school in Oxfordshire for an experienced Primary School Teacher to join their dedicated and supportive team on a part-time basis, working 2 days per week. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a nurturing and inclusive environment supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The school offers small class sizes and a highly supportive staffing team, allowing teachers to provide tailored learning and individual support to every pupil.
About the Role
As a Primary SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support both the academic and personal development of pupils. You will:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils with a range of SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and wider pastoral teams
- Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles and abilities
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning
- Monitor and track pupil progress effectively
