We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Oldbury for the full 2026/27 academic year, starting in September 2026. In this rewarding role, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals. You will provide both classroom and one-to-one support, adapting your approach to meet the varying needs of pupils. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
Requirements
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND in a UK school setting
- Experience working with pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs is desirable
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
