About the Role

As an EYFS Qualified Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting children through their early years development. You will:

  • Support practitioners and teachers in providing high-quality early years education and care
  • Help plan and deliver fun, engaging and play-based activities
  • Support children's individual learning and development needs
  • Encourage children to develop confidence, independence and social skills
  • Observe and record children's progress in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
  • Support with everyday personal care, including nappy changing
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caring and dependable Early Years professionals who are passionate about working with young children.

Essential requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification - ESSENTIAL
  • Previous experience working in a nursery, pre-school or Reception setting
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and children's welfare
  • Comfortable supporting children with personal care, including nappy changing
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to purchase one
  • Able to provide professional references covering your last 2 years of work and/or education history
  • Reliable, committed and able to work as part of a busy Early Years team
