Empowering Learning Group are working with a number of schools across the North East who are looking for experienced Kitchen Assistants to join their catering teams. We have opportunities available in:
- Middlesbrough
- Stockton
- Hartlepool
- Richmond
- Northallerton
- Darlington
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping the school kitchen run smoothly and ensuring pupils receive their meals in a safe and efficient environment. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
- Preparing ingredients and carrying out basic food preparation
- Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
- Cleaning kitchen areas, equipment and work surfaces
- Helping to set up and clear dining areas
- Supporting the catering team during busy lunchtime periods
- Assisting with the safe storage and handling of food
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and school procedures
- Working as part of a friendly and supportive catering team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have previous kitchen or catering experience
- Are available to start ASAP
- Are reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Have a positive attitude and professional approach
- Can provide professional references covering the last 2 years of employment and/or education
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service OR are willing to purchase an Enhanced DBS
- Are happy working in a busy school kitchen environment
PAY & HOURS
£14.25 - £16.00 per hour
Monday to Friday, usually 11:00am - 1:30pm, although working hours may vary depending on the school's requirements.
