Contract: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:15am - 3:00pm

Duration: September 2026 to Christmas 2026 | Potential Extension / Permanent Opportunity

Pay: £160-£225 per day (dependent on experience)

Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Manchester to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated QTS History Teacher for a full-time position starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive History department from September through to Christmas, with the possibility of an extension and the chance to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring History lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, creating a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A genuine passion for History and inspiring young people.
  • The ability to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to engage and motivate students through effective teaching.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Two professional references covering your recent employment.
  • The right to work in the UK.

  • Competitive daily pay of £160 to £225 per day, depending on experience.
