Empowering Learning is working with a special needs school in Long Eaton, who are recruiting for a teaching assistant to work with their dedicated and supportive team. The role is to start as soon as possible. You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
- Support students in their academic and social development.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement education health care plans for students.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
Skills
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs and challenging behaviours.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
