Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference?

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join a specialist therapeutic school in Barnet this September.

Supporting young people aged 11-19 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), you'll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver targeted interventions, support learning across the curriculum, lead small group sessions and, where appropriate, provide classroom cover.

About you

You will

  • Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience.
  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
  • Be confident leading learning and supporting teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Be patient, resilient and committed to helping every student succeed.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
