We are looking for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants who are dedicated and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. Your role as a SEND Teaching Assistant will be to support pupils on a 1:1 or group basis with their learning development and care needs while at school. Experience working with children with special educational needs is not essential, as training will be given. However, experience working within a school-based environment is critical, as you are required to have basic knowledge and understanding of supporting children within an educational setting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing support to children and young adults on a 1:1 basis and or in small groups
  • Providing support to children and young adults with a wide variety of additional needs
  • Experience or willingness to assist with personal care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively

Job Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Care based experience
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or willing to apply for a new one.
  • Available 2-5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1-6 months
