Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a popular and inclusive Primary School in Hackney for an ASAP start. This is a long-term contract for the academic year with the view of the role continuing in September.
You will be working with a reception class providing support to the class teacher and preparing the classroom for lessons and activities. You will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and be able to use your own initiative as well as work as part of a team. This is a general classroom teaching assistant role; however, you will be working with SEND children within the classroom on a rota basis with two other teaching assistants.
As a Teaching Assistant for this role, you must have the following:
- Experience of working in Early Years
- Hold a Level 3 childcare qualification
- Experience of working with SEND children
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Able to commit to a year's contract and/or wanting a career in education
- Be ambitious and reliable
The school is a one-form entry primary school with a friendly senior leadership team. The school is situated in an excellent location close to transport links.
