Salary: £95 – £115 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Start Date: After October Half Term
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Openshaw. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to work in a Year 5 class alongside one of the school\’s Assistant Head Teachers, offering excellent professional development and valuable experience.
The successful candidate will be confident supporting pupils across the curriculum, working both with small groups and individuals, and will also be asked to cover lessons on occasion.
Responsibilities:
Support the Year 5 teacher (Assistant Head) in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Provide targeted support to pupils to help them reach their potential
Assist with planning, preparation, and classroom organisation
Deliver small group interventions in English, Maths, and wider subjects
Cover classes when required, ensuring high standards of behaviour and learning
Contribute to the wider life of the school community
Requirements:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
Experience working within Key Stage 2
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to lead learning confidently when covering classes
