We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team across Leatherhead, Surrey. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream secondary school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the SENCo and teaching staff to support students with SEN in the classroom.
- Implement and adapt learning activities and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN as required, including behavioural, emotional, and social support.
- Record and monitor the progress of students with SEN, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and equipment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience working with students with SEN.
- Experience working with students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and relevant policies and procedures for supporting students with SEN.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
