School Catering Manager
Location: Longsight, Manchester (M13)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-2:00pm
Contract: Term-time only
Start Date: ASAP
A Primary School in Longsight, Manchester is seeking an experienced and organised School Catering Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the school kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with catering experience who enjoys working in a school environment and takes pride in providing healthy, high-quality meals for children.
You will be responsible for managing food preparation and service while ensuring the kitchen operates safely, efficiently, and in line with food hygiene and allergy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and serving daily school meals
Managing the day-to-day running of the school kitchen
Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
Following and maintaining food safety procedures
Managing food allergens and ensuring safe practices for pupils with allergies
Supervising kitchen staff where required
Requirements:
Previous experience in a catering or kitchen leadership role
Training or certification in food hygiene
Knowledge and training in food allergy awareness
Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently
A reliable, professional and organised approach
