Are you an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant looking for a new role in Brent, London? Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Brent for an ASAP start. This is a long‑term position until the end of the school year with the view of the role extending.
You will be working in a Year 6 class providing support to the class teacher and preparing the classroom for lessons and activities. The school are looking for someone with strong Maths & English skills so that they can support the class in preparation for SATs. As well as supporting across the classroom, you will be required to support a group of children who need extra support in literacy and numeracy. You will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and be able to use your own initiative as well as work as part of a team. You must also have excellent subject knowledge.
Qualifications- At least 1 year’s experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within KS2
- Must have excellent subject knowledge in literacy and numeracy
- A recognised qualification up to Level 3 – this is desirable but not a must
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Relationship building skills
- Calm and child‑centred
