Empowering Learning Ltd are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants for special needs schools in Kingston Borough. We are looking for outstanding and SEND experienced Teaching Assistants with experience only who are dedicated to supporting children in a classroom setting or on a 1:1 basis and with personal care. Our schools cater for children with varied SEND needs such as PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities) and physical needs like Dyslexia, starting ASAP.

The role is to work in a school based in the south west borough. They are seeking a TA with SEND training and support with personal care. Hours of work are from 8.30 am to 4 pm, with part-time options available between 9 am and 2 pm. You will be required to have medical training with children or adults in care or an SEND school, and be PEG feeding qualified or trained to support manual handling training within the last 12 months.

To be considered for the position you must have the following:

  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
  • PECS and Makaton training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
  • Flexibility to work with any physical needs and provide emotional support.
