Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs / ASD Location: Haywards Heath Salary: £110-£130 per day Hours: 8:15am - 4:00pm Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-term Empowering Learning is currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming and inclusive school in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. This is a long-term opportunity supporting children with complex needs, including ASD. Candidates must have previous experience working in a primary school setting, supporting children with a range of additional needs and SEN. Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SLD and PMLD would be particularly beneficial. We are looking for someone patient, nurturing and enthusiastic who can build positive relationships with pupils and work closely with teachers and other support staff to help children access learning and reach their potential. Teaching Assistant - Requirements Previous experience working in a primary school setting is essential. Experience supporting children with a range of SEN and additional needs. Understanding of complex needs, including ASD, SLD and PMLD. A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach to supporting children. Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils. Good organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to inclusion and supporting every child's individual learning needs.
