Hours: Split Shift - Morning 7am till 9am and Afternoon 2.45pm till 5.45pm
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Operative (School Caretaker) to support the day-to-day running of a school site in Hartlepool. This role is ideal for someone with previous school caretaking experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained at all times
- Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and site management duties
- Support and monitor health and safety compliance across the school site
- Open and close the school building
- Manage tasks independently and respond to site issues as they arise
- Some cleaning duties
- Previous experience working as a school caretaker or site operative
- Good knowledge of school site operations and health & safety procedures
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase one
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and be dependable
- Driving licence with access to a car
