Hampton, TW12

Full-time | Term time only | 5 days per week

Long-term role until the end of the academic year

We’re working with a friendly, nurturing Primary SEND school in Hampton (TW12) looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a long-term basis, supporting a small class of 9 pupils (majority are boys) with complex needs. This is a genuinely lovely school with a strong focus on play-led learning, outdoor education and forest school, so it would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, creative and active throughout the day.

About the role

  • Supporting a small class of Y2 / Y3 pupils (majority boys)
  • Pupils have complex SEND, including communication and regulation needs
  • Supporting with personal care
  • Some pupils may display challenging behaviour, so calm and consistent support is key
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team
  • Using play, outdoor learning and structured routines to support engagement

Experience & training

  • Previous SEND experience is highly desirable
  • Team-Teach training would be a big advantage (or willingness to train)
  • Backgrounds in SEND, care, EYFS, youth work or support work would suit this role well

  • Monday to Friday, term time only
  • All candidates will need to complete full vetting, including:
