Empowering Learning Ltd are looking to appoint enthusiastic and dynamic Teaching assistants
to work in our fantastic SEMH Schools in Barnet, and the surrounding boroughs.
Our SEMH Schools caters for students with SEMH, ASC, Anxiety, and social and emotional learning difficulties. We aim to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and resilience that supports our students to grow into purposeful young adults, so they are able to contribute to society in a positive way. These positions are both temporary and supply, as well as long-term positions, all for an immediate start.
We are looking for Teaching assistants who are excellent practitioners, who take on a creative and dynamic approach to learning and are willing to commit to on a long-term basis to the school settings. We are looking for individuals with a genuine passion and strong understanding of SEMH. Our schools are looking for individuals who have a fantastic work ethic, who can bring their dedication and specialist knowledge to help students learning and development, as well as strategic approaches to mental health issues.
Graduates with either a Math or English based degree are highly welcomed, as well as sports, phycology and sociology degrees as these transferable skillsets work well in SEND environments.
To be successful for this role, you must have:
- Enthusiasm, dedication, and motivation to work with SEND/SEMH
- A passion and desire to work with students with additional needs
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments
Ability to work with Mental health issues where applicable
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students
- A valid Child and adult workforce DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
