As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of additional needs on a 1:1 basis, providing assistance to help them make progress in their academic and personal development. You will work closely with the teacher to ensure their needs are met and maintain accurate records of progress and achievements.
Responsibilities
- Support a student with SEND on a 1:1 basis
- Assist the student to make progress in academic and personal development
- Work closely with the teacher to meet the student's needs
- Support the student throughout the day, both in and out of the classroom
- Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and achievements
- Liaise with parents and other professionals to provide optimal support and care
Requirements
- Experience working with autism
- DBS on the update service
- Able to start ASAP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the welfare and development of students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
