Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established nursery in the Billingham/Thornaby area to recruit an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager for a permanent, full-time position starting in September. We are seeking a dedicated childcare professional with previous experience managing a nursery setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the nursery team, maintaining high standards of care and education, and ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are consistently maintained
  • Support and develop staff through effective leadership, mentoring, and performance management
  • Deliver a high-quality early years provision in line with the EYFS framework
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records, assessments, and learning journeys
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements, and OFSTED standards
  • Oversee Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and nursery policies
  • Drive continuous improvement through action planning and quality assurance

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
