The Role

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high‑quality early years education
  • Help plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning activities
  • Provide targeted support for children, including those with additional needs
  • Observe and track children's development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families

Requirements

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
  • Experience working within a nursery or Reception setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practices
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
