- Contribute to an inclusive, nurturing school environment where every student can succeed
- Support students' academic progress and personal development in equal measure
What We Are Looking For
We will be straight with you - this school needs a teacher with the right values as much as the right qualifications. If you have never worked in a specialist setting before this may not be the right step at this stage.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status - essential
- Experience teaching at KS3 level
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach in challenging situations
- Experience working with students with SEN - ASD, SEMH, ADHD or complex learning needs preferred
- Strong behaviour management skills with a trauma-informed or restorative approach
- The ability to build genuine relationships with young people who find school difficult
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
What The School Offers
- A genuinely supportive SLT who invest in their staff
- Small class sizes - more time to build relationships and deliver meaningful lessons
- A school community that values every member of its team
- Beautiful surroundings in Dorking, Surrey - a wonderful place to work
- Excellent transport links from Guildford, Reigate, Crawley and surrounding areas
- The chance to do some of the most meaningful teaching of your career
