We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join schools across Derbyshire, with day-to-day, part-time, and full-time opportunities available. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development in a busy school environment.

The Role: As a Primary TA, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and help ensure the smooth running of the classroom. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Supporting individual pupils or small groups with learning tasks
  • Supervising children during classroom activities, breaks, and lunch
  • Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a respectful, inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs or SEN, where appropriate
  • Preparing classroom resources and supporting learning activities
  • Assisting with the supervision of educational trips and events
  • Maintaining safeguarding standards and reporting any concerns appropriately

Requirements:

  • Relevant, recent experience working in a school or childcare setting (essential)
  • Must be 18+
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting children's development
  • DBS Enhanced clearance (or willingness to apply)

Location: Schools across Derbyshire, including Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent, and surrounding areas

Hours: Day-to-day supply, part-time, and full-time positions available - shifts may vary depending on school needs (typically 7:00am - 6:00pm)
