Empowering Learning are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work within a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Derby. We are seeking passionate educators who can inspire young learners, create engaging learning environments, and make a positive impact on pupils' academic and personal development. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge pupils while promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor, assess and record pupil progress effectively
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs and senior leaders
- Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills
- A positive, proactive and flexible approach to teaching
- A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to provide references covering the last two years
