A supportive and well-structured secondary school in Dagenham is seeking a confident and organised Sixth Form Study Supervisor / Independent Study Supervisor to support students during independent learning, study periods, and academic development sessions. This role focuses on promoting strong study habits, supporting student progression, and maintaining a focused and productive learning environment for KS5 students.
The Role
- Supervise Sixth Form students during independent study, form time, and structured learning sessions
- Support students with organisation, revision strategies, and study skills development
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, focused study environment
- Monitor attendance and engagement during study periods
- Provide general academic guidance and signpost students to subject teachers where needed
- Support interventions for students requiring additional academic or organisational support
- Work closely with Sixth Form leadership, pastoral teams, and teaching staff
- Assist with UCAS preparation, revision workshops, and academic mentoring where appropriate
