We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team across South West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream secondary school setting.
Responsibilities
- Work with the SENCo and teaching staff to support students with SEN in the classroom.
- Implement and adapt learning activities and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN as required, including behavioural, emotional, and social support.
- Record and monitor the progress of students with SEN, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and equipment.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience working with students with SEN.
- Experience working with students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and relevant policies and procedures for supporting students with SEN.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
