Are you reliable, hardworking, and enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment? We are looking for a Catering Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a school kitchen, helping to provide healthy, nutritious meals for pupils and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the School Chef with food preparation and service
- Supporting the preparation of meals for pupils and staff
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen
- Washing up and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Assisting with stock rotation and basic deliveries
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (desirable but not essential)
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
