Year 1 Teaching Assistant - Bolton BL1 Location: Bolton, BL1 Hours: Monday-Thursday, mornings only Contract: Part-time, long-term opportunity Empowering Learning are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Bolton (BL1). This is a fantastic opportunity for a TA who is looking for part-time work and enjoys supporting younger pupils during the important transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1. The Role Working alongside the Year 1 class teacher, you will provide classroom support throughout the morning, helping pupils engage with their learning and develop their confidence and independence. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with daily classroom activities and learning tasks. Providing additional assistance to children who require extra support. Helping deliver phonics, literacy and numeracy activities. Supporting pupils' social and emotional development. Assisting with classroom routines and maintaining a positive learning environment. Working collaboratively with the class teacher to ensure pupils receive the support they need. The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for someone who: Has previous experience working within a primary school, ideally in EYFS or KS1. Has a good understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics. Is patient, nurturing and enthusiastic. Can support pupils of varying abilities.
