An ambitious and inclusive Primary School in Bolton (BL1) is looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6). This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with older primary pupils and is confident delivering targeted interventions while supporting children with Special Educational Needs. You'll work closely with class teachers to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted Maths and English interventions to individuals and small groups
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs within the classroom
- Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of different learners
- Encourage confidence, independence and engagement during lessons
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents where appropriate
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has previous experience working within a primary school
- Is confident supporting pupils across Years 3 to 6
- Has experience working with children with SEN
- Has delivered interventions in literacy and/or numeracy
- Is patient, adaptable and committed to helping children succeed
- Works well independently and as part of a wider school team
