About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teacher to join an Alternate Provision in Bloxwich, Walsall. This full-time role involves leading a small primary-aged class of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex needs, and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD). The successful candidate will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and provide a structured, nurturing environment to support pupils who require an alternative approach to mainstream education.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience working as an SEN Teacher
- Strong understanding of the UK SEND and Alternative Provision curriculum
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - SEN experience essential
- Excellent knowledge of the UK SEND and Alternative Provision education system
- Experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour
- A minimum of 12 months' experience working within Special Educational Needs
- Safeguarding Level 1 training
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- A strong commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs

This Alternate Provision supports pupils with a wide range of needs, including Autism, non-verbal communication needs, physical disabilities, sensory processing difficulties, and challenging behaviour. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure every pupil receives high-quality, personalised support.
