We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Birmingham with an immediate start available. This is a full-time, long-term role with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop strong digital literacy, programming skills, and computational thinking. In addition to delivering high-quality Geography lessons, the role may include providing cover for other subjects when required, ensuring continuity of learning across the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking to develop their skills in a supportive and well-led school environment.

Essential Requirements:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent qualification
  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and deliver effective lesson cover when needed
  • Safeguarding Level 1 trained (support available if required)
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Key responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Geography lessons at KS3 and KS4
  • Teach key topics such as programming, algorithms, computational thinking and digital systems
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress and attainment
  • Provide lesson cover across the department or wider school when required
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and learning
  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development
