Are you passionate about supporting young people who need a fresh start in education? We are currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants and Learning Mentors to work within a supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).

About the Role: You'll be supporting pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), challenging behaviour, or exclusion from mainstream education. Every day brings a new opportunity to make a genuine difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom
  • Building positive and trusting relationships
  • Promoting engagement, confidence and emotional wellbeing
  • Assisting with behaviour management strategies
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience within PRUs, SEMH settings, youth work, care work, sports coaching or mentoring is desirable
