Cover Supervisor - Full-Time Position
Location: Burton upon Trent Start Date: September 2026 Salary: 110.00 to 120.00 per day
Empowering Learning is excited to be working with a fantastic school in Burton to recruit a motivated and reliable Cover Supervisor for a full-time role starting in November 2026. This could be the ideal opportunity to gain experience for a PGCE or start your career as an ECT.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain classroom experience and support the learning journey of students. As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Support students in completing tasks and maintaining their focus.
- Liaise with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.

- Has experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
- Is confident in managing groups of students across various year groups and subjects.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is adaptable, proactive, and resilient.
- Holds a degree or equivalent qualification.
