Empowering Learning is seeking to recruit Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to work in Special Schools for Daily and Long Term cover in the Kingston area. We are interested in candidates with experience working with children across all age groups and especially those with SEND experience.
Have you worked in schools with children who have ASD, PMLD, SLD, MLD or SEMH/EBD? Have you worked with children with challenging behaviour? Have you worked with students with physical disabilities?
We will consider applicants who do not have teaching assistant experience based on relevant skills, qualifications, and suitable references. A successful candidate will demonstrate a professional approach, the ability to take initiative, and ability to work effectively with permanent staff. They should also be able to form good relationships and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
You must:
- Possess the right to work in the UK.
- Be willing to travel up to 45-60 minutes.
- Ideally have professional experience in a childcare/care/healthcare based role.
- Have up-to-date professional childcare-related references (covering the last 2 years).
- Have an enhanced DBS disclosure or be happy to apply for one.
