Are you experienced in sports coaching, youth work or mentoring and looking to take your skills into a school setting? Empowering Learning are recruiting SEND Support Assistants to work across a number of schools in the Wirral, supporting pupils with additional needs and behavioural challenges. This is a rewarding role where your ability to engage, motivate and build trust will have a direct impact on young people’s development.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering targeted support on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
- Supporting pupils with SEMH, autism and ADHD
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils stay on task
- Using active and practical approaches to support learning
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement support plans
- Candidates from a sports, coaching, youth work or mentoring background
- Individuals with experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEND needs
- Confident, resilient and able to build strong relationships quickly
- Positive role models who can inspire and motivate pupils
