Empowering Learning are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with Learning Difficulties in the Haringey area. We are seeking Teaching Assistants with a background of supporting children or adults with Complex Needs, Autism or Learning Difficulties. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a caring and empathetic nature towards the pupils but also remain resilient and patient under difficult scenarios. The school would like positive and versatile SEN Teaching Assistants, with a keen interest in supporting pupils of different learning levels.
Job Responsibilities
- Able to work with groups or one-to-one support within the classroom
- Supporting pupils with Complex Needs, Autism & Learning Difficulties
- Supervising pupils behaviour
- Encouraging, engaging and supporting pupils with their learning & development
- Support with personal care e.g. toileting & feeding
Job Requirements
- Adaptable and willing to work with different age groups
- Willing to support children with learning difficulties and disabilities
- Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS
- Available 5 days a week
