English Teacher
Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Until Christmas, with potential to extend into 2027
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:10pm
Pay: Β£160 - Β£225 per day, depending on experience
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a secondary school in Rochdale, starting immediately and continuing until Christmas, with the potential for the role to extend into 2027 for the right candidate.
This is a full-time teaching position, Monday to Friday, working with pupils across KS3 and KS4.
The Role
- Teaching English across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Supporting pupils to make strong progress and achieve their potential.
- Maintaining positive classroom management and high expectations.
- Working collaboratively with the English department and wider school team.
- Full-time hours of 8:30am - 3:10pm, Monday to Friday.
- Initial placement until Christmas, with the possibility of a longer-term extension into 2027.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
- Ideally holds QTS, although experienced English teachers without QTS may also be considered.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A genuine passion for English and supporting young people.
- Reliable, professional and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Available to commit to the full-time role.
Requirements
- Two professional references covering recent relevant employment.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Relevant teaching experience within a secondary school setting.
