Hours: Full-time and part-time, Monday - Friday
Empowering Learning is seeking Sports Coaches and Classroom Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Oxfordshire.
These roles are ideal for enthusiastic, confident individuals who enjoy working with young people and can help create a positive learning environment. Opportunities are available for experienced Cover Supervisors, Sports Coaches, graduates and those looking to gain experience in education.
As a Classroom Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, deliver pre-planned work and maintain good classroom behaviour.
As a Sports Coach, you will support PE lessons, lead sporting activities and encourage students to develop their skills, confidence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise secondary school classes and deliver pre-planned lesson work
- Support PE lessons, sports activities and extracurricular clubs
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom management
- Engage and motivate students across different year groups
- Build positive relationships with students and school staff
- Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Confident communication and behaviour management skills
- A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
- Sports coaching qualifications or relevant experience desirable for coaching roles
- Ability to work independently and follow school instructions
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
