Sports Coach - SEN School
Location: Oldham
Pay Rate: £16.78 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:45pm
Contract: Full-time

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, patient and motivated Sports Coach to work within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Oldham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys using sport and physical activity to engage, inspire and support young people with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, engaging and inclusive sports and physical activity sessions.
- Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, confidence and social development.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, disabilities and behavioural challenges.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, physical wellbeing and positive engagement.
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all pupils.
- Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants and other school staff.
- Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to help pupils achieve their goals.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience in sports coaching, PE or working with young people.
- Ideally has experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Is energetic, enthusiastic, patient and understanding.
- Has the ability to adapt activities to suit different abilities and needs.
- Is confident managing behaviour in a positive and supportive manner.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is passionate about using sport to improve confidence, wellbeing and development.
