As a bank Nursery Practitioner, you will support children throughout their early years, helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where they can learn, play and develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
- Planning and delivering fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting children's communication, physical, social and emotional development.
- Providing high-quality care, including supporting mealtimes, personal care and daily routines.
- Observing children's progress and contributing to their learning journeys where required.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging children's independence.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming nursery environment.
- Working collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure every child receives excellent care.
- Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised for the role.
- Has a genuine passion for working with babies and young children.
- Has a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and child development.
- Has good communication and teamwork skills.
- Is reliable, adaptable and confident working in different nursery settings.
- Can build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Previous nursery or childcare experience is desirable.
