Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Longsight, Manchester, working within their dedicated SEN base for the full academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA or highly skilled Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is confident taking on responsibility within a specialist provision.
The Role:
- Working within the school's dedicated SEN base
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting learning, communication, behaviour and emotional development
- Leading learning activities and interventions where appropriate
- Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and the wider support team
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and key life skills
- Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified or experienced HLTA
- Strong experience supporting children with SEND
- Confident working with pupils who have additional and potentially complex needs
- Patient, adaptable and resilient
- Able to build strong relationships with pupils
- Confident taking responsibility for learning activities and small groups
- Passionate about making a positive difference to children's education and development
